Lando Norris celebrates first F1 win with Max Verstappen at exclusive burlesque nightclub

He promised he was going to party all night in celebration of his maiden Formula One victory. And by the looks of it, Lando Norris lived up to his boast.

The McLaren star, who triumphed in Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix, inflicting a first on-track defeat in 20 races for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, was pictured in various locations around the city as he enjoyed a well-earned night out.

Norris was spotted rubbing shoulders with some of American sport’s biggest stars at the Carbone Beach party.

The guest list there included Super Bowl champions Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and NBA royalty LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

There were also pictures posted on Instagram of Norris, Verstappen and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly at E11EVEN, a Miami nightclub that boasts trapeze dancers, burlesque shows, DJs and live music performances, appeared on Instagram.

Fittingly, given it was their first win in the United States since 2012, Norris also partied with his team back at their Hilton hotel until the early hours.

Speaking earlier, Norris had joked that he “might have more than just a scratch on his nose” by the morning, a reference to the injury he picked up at a boat party in Amsterdam the previous week.

‘I’m not going to sleep. I’m going all the way’
Norris had spent much of the build-up to Miami having to explain what had happened on the boat and why he had a plaster over his nose. But he refused to be embarrassed, arguing he was entitled to let off steam with his friends. And he seemed to venture into the Miami night in the same spirit.

“I mean, I was meant to fly [tonight] but Zak [Brown] just told me we fly tomorrow. I’m not going to sleep. I’m going all the way. I might have more than just a scratch on my nose tomorrow, but I don’t care. I’ll enjoy my time.

“This only happens once when you’re taking your first win. It’s nice to do it here in Miami. I was kind of hoping it was going to be at Silverstone, but I’ll try to do it there as well.”

That last comment prompted a retort from Verstappen, sitting next to him: “It’s definitely better here, mate, to go out!”

“True,” Norris replied. “So tonight’s going to be a good night.”

Norris recovered from his celebrations by playing a spot of golf at Augusta Nationa
