Travis Hunter and Xaiver Weaver dealing with flu; Shedeur Sanders questionable vs. Utah

Deion Sanders admitted that the Colorado Buffaloes are dealing with a few issues going into the season finale matchup with Utah. We knew Shedeur Sanders was banged up last week against Washington State and his status might come down to a game day decision.

Coach Prime added to that by saying Xaiver Weaver and Travis Hunter were two players dealing with flu symptoms. He spelled out all the details on his weekly coaches show. There’s really nothing on the line for the Buffs on Saturday with postseason play off the table. However, a win would boost the program going into an important off-season with early Signing Day around the corner.

Sanders is a touchdown away from setting CU’s single-season record. He’ll be itching to be out on the field, if he’s good enough to go in the finale. As for Hunter and Weaver, they’ll have to be down pretty hard not to be out there. They’re both cut from a different cloth when it come to competing.

Hunter was recovering from a lacerated liver and was begging Coach Prime to return early. Weaver has one last time to lay it all out there for NFL scouts. You know that means a lot for him. The USF transfer needs 92 yards for his first 1,000-yard season. He’s also two touchdowns away from matching his career-best.
