Tiger Woods is currently gearing up for the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club.

A three-time Open champion, Woods has battled the often brutal conditions at golf’s oldest major better than almost any player in the world over the course of his illustrious career.

On Tuesday, just days before the first round of the 2024 Open Championship, Woods’ luxury apparel brand – Sun Day Red – released a fitting line of new gear.

Dubbed ‘The Weather Series,’ Sun Day Red says the new line “was created as an answer to Tiger’s request for distraction-free rainwear that is lightweight, breathable, and nonrestrictive.”

The Sun Day Red brand was introduced earlier this year by Tiger and golf equipment company TaylorMade, following Woods’ split from longtime sponsor Nike.

Past Sun Day Red launches have been met with criticism from the golf community, and it seems that the initial reception to ‘The Weather Series’ is no exception – particularly due to the steep price tags of several items featured in the release.

A complete outfit, including an umbrella, of ‘Weather Series’ gear could set fans back over $1,200 – and the golf world has taken notice.

What’s your take on Sun Day Red’s new line of luxury apparel?
