Coach Sean McDermott said Monday that Allen (hand) has been cleared to practice and suit up for Thursday’s matchup against the Dolphins, Ryan O’Halloran of The Buffalo News reports.
Allen injured his left, non-throwing hand while making a leaping rushing touchdown during Sunday’s win over the Cardinals, and the issue won’t impact his ability to get on the field Week 2.
The star quarterback got off to a slow start Week 1 against Arizona, even losing a fumble on Buffalo’s first drive, but he ended the day with two touchdown passes to Mack Hollins and Khalil Shakir, in addition to two rushing scores of his own.
Allen will look to remain sharp while adjusting to his new group of skill-position players during Thursday’s road divisional matchup.
