Chicago Bulls Finalize Their 2024-2025 Roster
The concluding transition from the training camp roster to the official 2024-2025 regular season for the Chicago Bulls started with the waiving of Onuralp Bitim and Kenneth Lofton Jr. on Oct 17, 2024.
Fast forward to the Bulls securing a win in their 2024 preseason finale against the Cleveland Cavaliers and reports already emerged that E.J. Liddell had secured the final Bulls two-way contract. The Bulls subsequently made the transaction official on Oct 19, 2024.
On the same day as the Bulls formally announced the two-way contract signing of EJ Liddell, Jamal Collier of ESPN also reported that Chicago local product and training camp signing Talen Horton-Tucker secured the Bulls’ final main roster spot after a dazzling 2024 NBA preseason performance.
What real impact Horton-Tucker will create in Billy Donovan’s guard-heavy Bulls roster during the 2024-2025 NBA regular season remains to be seen. However, it is encouraging to see young frontcourt players such as Liddell and Adama Sanogo represented in the Bulls’ two-way roster slots that have typically been occupied by unremarkable guard signings such as Andrew Funk, Malcolm Hill, and Terry Taylor during the Arturas Karnisovas administration.
