SENSATIONAL 😲 :Noles Makes Shocking decision on top Target 😳

Florida State is working on building a strong 2025 recruiting class. The Seminoles have the nation’s No. 19 ranked 2025 recruiting class at the beginning of January with three commitments currently in the boat.

Before the ‘Noles begin hosting a myriad of prospects on campus for spring visits over the next few months, we’re going to break down the Top 10 Most Wanted Recruits List for FSU.

In the creation of the Top 10 Most Wanted List, Noles247 is paying attention to a few important factors. FSU’s need at the position, the talent level of the prospect and the strength of mutual interest are all weighed and considered when forming this list. Players already committed to the Seminoles — like 5-star OL Solomon Thomas or 4-star QB Tramell Jones — won’t be on the list as they’ve already made their college decisions.

10.) 4-STAR DB DALLAS GOLDEN

Florida State’s cornerback board is pretty limited with realistic options but one name that has emerged as more of a viable target is Dallas Golden. Notre Dame and Clemson may have built a strong early lead in Golden’s recruitment — especially the Irish — but the Seminoles are not letting up for one of the most talented state of Florida recruits in 2025. Golden will visit FSU’s campus for the first time in 2024 this weekend for the Legacy event and the ‘Noles are working to make a move up in his recruitment.

9.) 5-STAR TE ELYISS WILLIAMS

Georgia has held the commitment of five-star tight end Elyiss Williams since last year but Florida State has been a consistent team putting forth an effort to flip him. FSU hosted Williams for a Junior Day this winter and is expected to get an official visit from the elite talent this summer. They also need to get him to campus this spring in order to stay in the picture. Miami has gotten into the mix and hosted Williams on campus last weekend.

‌

8.) 4-STAR RB ALVIN HENDERSON

Florida State is in the upper echelon of Alvin Henderson’s ever-changing recruitment. He’s the most offered prospect in the country (74) and is one of the most productive high school football players in the nation. He’s likely FSU’s most realistic running back target. That doesn’t mean the Seminoles will land him as both Auburn and Miami seem to be FSU’s stiffest competition for his services.

‌

7.) 4-STAR DL JALEN WIGGINS

Losing out on Jalen Wiggins’ January commitment was a stinger for Florida State for a few reasons. FSU needs to keep Tallahassee talent home, they need to recruit the defensive line better and they lost out on him to their in-state rival, Florida. FSU is not down and out of this recruitment, however. They hosted him just a week after his pledge to the Gators and Wiggins already has an official visit locked in with the Seminoles for June 21. I expect Wiggins to be on campus at least another time this spring — as FSU’s campus is just a short drive away.

‌

6.) 4-STAR WR DAYLAN MCCUTCHEON

FSU has a lengthy wide receiver board but as prospects on it continue to be predicted to end up elsewhere, Daylan McCutcheon has emerged as one of the most realistic and high-priority options for the Seminoles. The four-star pass catcher out of Texas has family that lives in the Sunshine State and plans to visit FSU both this spring as well as for an official visit in the summer. Ohio State, USC and Texas are the competition for McCutcheon, who plans to make a college decision in July.

‌

5.) 4-STAR S GREGORY XAVIER THOMAS

Gregory Xavier Thomas ending up at Florida State makes a lot of sense. He’s part of the Seminole tribe of Florida and was coached as a freshman in high school by current FSU defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr.. He’s also an excellent safety prospect and someone FSU badly wants to land in the 2025 recruiting class. Miami and LSU will both make an effort to land Thomas but the Seminoles have the inside track in his recruitment right now.

‌

4.) 4-STAR LB TAVION WALLACE

FSU’s linebacker recruiting has been subpar at best in recent cycles but they truly have an opportunity to change that in 2025 with an extensive board of talented linebacker options. Close to the top of that board is four-star ‘backer Tavion Wallace. He’s openly called Florida State his leader several times over the last year despite programs like Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina making a push. FSU will need to continue to press in his recruitment but he’s the most talented linebacker recruit that they have the greatest shot to land in 2025 thus far.

‌

3.) 4-STAR DL KEVIN WYNN

FSU needs to elevate its defensive line recruiting in 2025 and landing an interior defensive lineman like Kevin Wynn would do just that. He just rose into the Top 60 ranked players overall on 247Sports and the Seminoles have prioritized him like that caliber of a player for years now. FSU was the first program to offer him, the first gameday he experienced and the first school to host his mother on campus. FSU is doing everything right for Wynn — who has several other high-caliber programs in the mix for him including an in-state power like Georgia. FSU and Odell Haggins need to find a way to win out for one of the most talented defenders in the Southeast in Wynn.

‌

2.) 4-STAR OL ZIYARE ADDISON

Alex Atkins, FSU’s OC/OL coach, has improved the offensive line unit in Tallahassee a ton since arriving a few years ago. In order to continue the line’s elevation in play, Atkins needs to continue to recruit talented lineman out of the high school ranks. Landing Ziyare Addison would accomplish just that. He’s got a tackle body standing at 6-foot-4.5, 280-pounds and has the ability to be a difference maker early on at the next level. Atkins was first to offer Addison as scholarship but since then, nearly 40 other programs have entered the picture. FSU will have to beat schools like Clemson, Florida, Miami and Oregon for his services.

‌

1.) 4-STAR DL MYRON CHARLES

Florida State has struggled to recruit the interior of its defensive line in recent cycles and they have an opportunity to change that in 2025. Port Charlotte (Fla.) four-star defensive lineman Myron Charles named the Seminoles his leader earlier this month. Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is leading the charge as the ‘Noles are set to host Charles on campus again this coming weekend for their Legacy event. FSU will have to beat out Miami, Florida, Georgia and others for Charles but he’s a must-get recruit for the ‘Noles this cycle and they’re in a great spot right now within his recruitment.
