Vowles to drive iconic Williams FW08 at Goodwood FOS

Vowles to drive famous Williams FW08 at Goodwood FOS

Williams Hustling will head Goodwood’s Celebration of Speed this mid year, and, in all honesty, group head James Vowles will be driving the charge!

The Williams supervisor will discard his baby chair on the pitwall for the driver’s seat of the English outfit’s 1982 title winning FW08, the very vehicle driven out of frustration to the world title by one Keke Rosberg.

In any case, Vowles won’t be the main current individual from the Williams to enjoy the thunder and roar of an exemplary F1 vehicle as Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant – the Woods based outfit’s ongoing line-up – as well as F1 Foundation racer Lia Block will partake in the exhilarating experience.

Yet, for Vowles and Block, it will be their most memorable taste of driving a Williams F1 vehicle.

“We are anticipating being at the current year’s Goodwood Celebration of Speed and sharing our energy for motorsport with fans from around the world,” remarked Vowles.

“The Celebration of Speed is a particularly darling and extraordinary occasion and offers us the chance to praise the rich legacy of Williams Dashing and motorsport all in all.

“It will be a little glimpse of heaven for me to drive a title-winning legacy Williams F1 vehicle. We can hardly stand by to take on the slope climb and put on an act for the staggering groups that accumulate at Goodwood every year.”
