Florida State Seminoles Making a Serious push for Four-Star and Pro Player Linebacker Target

FSU football’s 2025 recruiting class already has one linebacker committed to the fold in four-star Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida.

However, linebacker recruiting is something that Florida State fans continuously discuss since the target board used to be slim with options. In the 2024 recruiting cycle, the Seminoles were able to get three stars Jayden Parrish and Timir Hickman-Collins.

Recently, we at ChopChat have written articles about four-star targets Gavin Nix and Tarvos Alford.

Class of 2025 four-star linebacker Jaeden Harmon from Rome, Georgia showcased himself on social media with head football coach Mike Norvell during his unofficial visit with the Seminoles.

The talented linebacker was recently offered by Florida State last week. The Rome, Georgia native has picked up quite a bit of offers from a variety of schools such as USC, North Carolina, Texas, Michigan State, Miami, Louisville, Oklahoma, and Florida.

This Junior Day visit should have provided a great opportunity for the coaching staff to develop a relationship with Harmon. The plan is hopefully to get him back on campus for the Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase in April.

The Seminoles need capable linebackers in their rotation to build upon their future at the position. Florida State will be having to replace the likes of Kalen Deloach and Tatum Bethune. Young players such as Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., and Justin Cryer will likely have to step up in meaningful roles in 2024.

Overall, it looks as though linebackers coach Randy Shannon is continuing to expand the recruiting board with blue-chip linebackers. While Pritchard is currently in the fold, Florida State will likely need to add two more options to their class.

It will be interesting to see how Florida State will navigate through the offseason with the linebacker position with four-star Jaedon Harmon jumping into the mix of targets.
