Steelers Open Rams Week With One Injury

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers opened their week with a pair of defenders limited in the first practice of the week.

Rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig was limited with a quad injury and veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson was limited as well, but he is not hurt and just took a day off.

There is some good news as well. Starting offensive tackle Dan Moore practiced fully after suffering a knee injury and missing the Steelers’ last game against the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie Broderick Jones filled in for Moore and played well but will be back to a reserve role this week.

Punter Pressley Harvin, wide receiver Diontae Johnson, running back Anthony McFarland, offensive lineman James Daniels and tight end Pat Freiermuth all practiced fully as well.

All in all, it was a very encouraging day of practice for the Steelers, who had been littered with injuries but should be back close to full strength by the time they visit the Los Angeles Rams this weekend.
