Stephen A. Smith blasts Shedeur Sanders, says stop “Getting your ass kicked on national television”

ESPN analyst has watched enough of the nonsense with Buffs

Deion Sanders told his team to be prepared for the naysayers after the 46-43 double overtime loss to Stanford. “All the love you’ve received, you’re about to see that flip,” Sanders said in the locker room after the game. He was brutally honest and it wasn’t long before ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith fired off a rant directed at Shedeur Sanders.

“Tom Brady and your dad already joked with you about what you were driving around with and how you needed to be in the film room. Well, guess what, it is no longer a laughing matter. Y’all are getting your ass kicked, Smith said on Monday’s episode of First Take.

“Show up, stand up because your daddy, and to the players on that squad, your coach. As much bravado as he had. As much swag as he had. He was the best on the planet week in and week out. You knew Prime Time, Deion Sanders, was the best probably ever. Y’all aren’t on that level. Stop acting like it and show up on the damn field and do what the hell you are supposed to do instead of getting your ass kicked on national television. Somebody gotta say it.”

Smith on the sidelines for the CSU game earlier this year. This wasn’t the first time he was critical of the Buffs this year. The longtime national sports pundit took a sharp 180 degree turn after Colorado’s blowout loss to Oregon. One week after praising Sanders while in Boulder on the set of First Take.

Colorado has a week off before facing a road test against UCLA on Oct. 28.
