Colorado’s Deion Sanders replies to Dan Lanning’s “Click” remark by saying, “I Keep Receipts.”.

For his pregame remarks prior to Saturday’s game between the Buffaloes and Ducks at Autzen Stadium, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning has received criticism from Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Sanders told reporters after his Buffaloes were humiliated in a 42-6 loss to Oregon, “I don’t say something just to say stuff for a click, despite what some people might say.
“Yeah, I save my receipts. “.

Prior to Saturday’s game against the Buffaloes, Lanning was pumped up as he delivered his pregame speech.

“Man, the Cinderella story is over.
We’re fighting for wins while they’re fighting for clicks, according to Lanning.
There is a distinction, you understand?
Hollywood won’t be the setting for this game.
It will be played on the grass, you know, that much is certain.

After beating TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State to start the 2023 season, it was widely anticipated that Colorado would face a wake-up call against Oregon on Saturday.
Oregon has long been one of the best teams in college football.

The Ducks dominated the game on Saturday in every way.

Bo Nix, the quarterback, ran for nine yards and a touchdown in addition to completing 28 of 33 passes for 276 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

Mar’Keise Irving, Jordan James, and Noah Whittington combined for 188 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while Troy Franklin and Casey Kelly combined for 127 yards and three scores at the receiving position.

Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Buffs, was held to just 159 passing yards and one touchdown by the Ducks defense, and Colorado’s total offense was only 199 yards as opposed to Oregon’s 522 yards.

Although cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, one of Colorado’s best players, missed the game on Saturday due to a lacerated liver, even he probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference given how poorly the Buffaloes played.

Colorado is now 3-1 overall and will take on Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans next weekend in what should be another humiliating contest for the Buffaloes.

Although the Buffs have improved significantly under Sanders, there is still much that needs to be done in the program.
