Colts owner Jim Irsay’s insane gesture in Jacksonville will leave fans slack-jawed

Colts owner Jim Irsay’s crazy move in Jacksonville will leave fans speechless

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay’s generosity knows no bounds. Irsay gave thousands of dollars in tips to workers at a hotel in Jacksonville, Florida over the weekend. According to Dana Hunsinger Benbow of the Indianapolis Star, his incredible gesture left workers speechless.

“How often do we walk into a hotel and pass people working? The hunters, the people behind the desks, were as if they were robots with artificial intelligence, for God’s sake. When you are blessed, when you receive a blessing, when God blesses you greatly, God asks you greatly in return,” Jim Irsay said.

“It’s always a difficult time trying to raise a family, have enough money to pay the bills, pay for groceries and keep a roof over your head. All of these things are difficult, so this is my ministry,” Irsay added.

Irsay stayed in a room on the 17th floor of the North Florida hotel for the Colts’ Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He meets a housekeeper named Karen, who is also the mother of two boys. Irsay happened to approach her and gave her a bag containing several thousand dollars. Karen was in tears, completely stunned.

Jim Irsay went to the hotel lobby, where he gave a guitarist a whopping $10,000 tip some time later. Irsay found himself in a tense contract situation with Colts running back Jonathan Taylor in recent months. He finally agreed to extend Taylor’s three-year, $42 million contract earlier this month. The Colts lost to the Jaguars 37-20 and extended their losing streak in Jacksonville to nine games. Despite this loss, Jim Irsay’s kind gesture is a victory for humanity.
