SALT LAKE CITY – According to reports, Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss, a former member of the Utah Utes, was fined for celebrating a touchdown in Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season.

 

On Sunday, October 8, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Colts played host to the Tennessee Titans.

Moss recorded two touchdowns in the win.
Following his second touchdown, the former star player for Utah leaped into the air and “dunked” the ball through the goalpost.

 

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the NFL fined Moss for the celebration before Week 6.

 

“The NFL fined Colts RB Zack Moss $6,330 for unsportsmanlike conduct — dunking the ball over the goalpost after his touchdown last week,” the NFL insider wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

 

Defeating Tennessee 23-16 was Indianapolis.

 

In total, Moss carried the ball 23 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns.
Additionally, he made two receptions for a total of 30 yards.

 

Prior to Week 5, the former Utah star had accumulated 66 carries for 280 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
In three games played through the first four weeks of the 2023 season, he also hauled in six receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown.

The Colts’ record this year is now 3-2 after the victory.
