INDIANOLA — There was silence in the locker room.

When a team loses in the NFL, the locker room is always quiet, but the Indianapolis Colts’ locker room was as quiet as a library following their defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Colts players were shocked, irritated, and plainly embarrassed.

DeForest Buckner, a defensive tackle, later remarked that it was “embarrassing.”.
Our asses were whooped.

Indianapolis had gone to Duval County last year and discovered that all of its talk about how things would change following a season-ending loss at Jacksonville that cost them a playoff berth in 2021 was just that — talk.

The Jaguars defeated the Colts 24-0 at TIAA Bank Field to extend their home winning streak against Indianapolis to eight games, including a victory in 2016 in London where the Colts were technically the traveling squad.

On Sunday, Indianapolis will have a second chance to snap its losing streak. Buckner is still able to feel the pain of last year’s loss.

Jacksonville has always brought their “A” game to every game we’ve played against them, he said.
“Obviously, we’ve failed in the past, especially going down there. They always gain an advantage over us first.

“That is not acceptable.
