Report: “Active trade deadline” may feature the Vikings as a “key player.”.

It seems likely that the NFL trade deadline will be quite active, according to SI’s Albert Breer.

The Minnesota Vikings may be sellers ahead of the October draft, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. 31 trade cutoff date.
Granted that the Vikings are 1-4 and will be without Justin Jefferson for the next four games, that’s hardly shocking news, but Breer’s remarks this week have a little more bearing.
This is why.

“Let me put it like this.
In April and May of last year, I was informed by some very intelligent NFL people that they believed this could be the busiest trade deadline in a long time.
And the explanation for that was the quarterback group’s revelation,” Breer said on Wednesday in a cameo appearance with Colin Cowherd.

Over the next few weeks, I think there could be some interesting dynamics because I believe there will be some interesting conversations in some of these buildings where an owner could get very excited about the prospect of owning a Drake Maye or a Caleb Williams.

Looking ahead to the final week before the Halloween trade deadline, the Vikings could end up with a 2-5 or 1-6 record with the 49ers and Bears in tow.

For Danielle Hunter, how about Minnesota?
A top-tier pass rusher, please?
Forget about Kirk Cousins.
What could you get Harrison Smith?
What could you get K?
Danielle Hunter? Harrison Smith? I. J.
Because you have Jordan Addison on the other side of him and Justin Jefferson to pay, you might not be willing to pay Osborn, a really good slot receiver in a contract year, Breer said.

“Teams like Minnesota and Denver, who don’t have particularly weak rosters, may end up being important players at the trade deadline and acting more like sellers than buyers this time around.
