Does Ramsey Plan to Return Anytime Soon?

Early in training camp, the All-Pro cornerback suffered a knee injury.

The Miami Dolphins defense had a strong performance in Week 5, which at least temporarily quieted the criticism of its 2023 season performance.

The team’s prized offseason acquisition, three-time All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey, eventually recovering from the knee injury he suffered on the second day of training camp gives fans even more cause for hope.

Even better would be the possibility that Ramsey would return earlier than expected, which was probably around early December.

Following the team’s 31-16 victory over the New York Giants at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, several reporters tweeted images of Ramsey running in the tunnel.
On Monday, head coach Mike McDaniel spoke about Ramsey’s healing process.

When the roster was reduced to the required 53 players, the Dolphins placed some players on injured reserve, giving Ramsey the chance to play again.

While giving no timetable, McDaniel sounded upbeat about Ramsey’s development.

McDaniel said, “Well, he hasn’t sprinted yet except to pass you guys.
I received word that you guys took notice.
He is performing admirably.
He is a unique breed and unquestionably favors return.

It’s unclear exactly what “positive side of return” refers to, but it’s not impossible. suggest that perhaps Ramsey will return in November rather than December.

Ramsey attacked his recovery aggressively and gave up using crutches in August after suffering an injury while protecting Tyreek Hill on that first day of camp.

A fully recovered Ramsey would be a huge asset to the defense and give defensive coordinator Vic Fangio more options for coverage.

Additionally, the Dolphins’ chances of making the playoffs this year would be enhanced by a stronger defense.
