BREAKING: Vikings Get Devastating News Regarding Justin Jefferson’s Injury

The Vikings received heartbreaking news regarding Justin Jefferson’s injury

Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson is unlikely to play in next week’s game against the Chicago Bears after suffering a hamstring injury in Kansas City’s Week 5 game against the Chicago Chiefs. NFL insider Ian Rapoport said: “From what I understand, it seems like it’s been a tough time for him being on the field this week.” It will certainly be a heavy loss for the Vikings if he cannot play next week.

The star player slipped on the field while running on a run against Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie during the Vikings’ 27-20 loss. He is considered likely to return to action after being seen limping off the field to seek medical attention. He was able to get back into the game for a split second but ultimately did nothing for the offense. Head coach Kevin O’Connell told reporters that the star wide receiver would seek some medical treatment for his hamstring and could not put a timetable on his recovery by at that moment. “We need to get an MRI, look at it and find out exactly what it is, where it is, if there are other factors at play and determine what the best decision is for him,” he said.

Justin Jefferson has had an impressive start to the season with 571 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He has played a key role in the success of Minnesota’s offense since entering the league. If he can’t play in week six, the Vikings could fall to a horrendous 1-5 record.

There’s still no firm timeline on Jefferson’s recovery, so that’s something everyone will have to deal with for now, especially if you have him in fantasy football. This is an ongoing situation and will continue to be updated throughout the week.
