Justin Jefferson of the Vikings is being treated with caution due to a hamstring injury.

As his team lost to the Chiefs 27-20 at home on Sunday, Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson strained his right hamstring.

It was an unusual absence for the wideout for Jefferson to miss the final 21 plays of the game due to injury. He hasn’t missed a game since being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, but this Sunday’s matchup with the Bears seems to put that streak in jeopardy.

The team wants him to be “100 percent” before going back onto the field, according to Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell, in order to prevent further harm.

Jefferson, according to O’Connell, “is down today.”.
He’s undoubtedly one of the fiercest competitors I’ve ever met.
He was attempting to resume his previous state in the game.
In order to take care of him and restore him to full health, we’ll need to make a sound medical decision and help him somewhat protect himself from himself.
“.

Despite this, O’Connell is not yet prepared to provide a firm update on Jefferson’s condition going into Week 6.

Things will become even harder for the 1-4 Vikings if Jefferson misses any playing time.
With 571 receiving yards and 53 targets, Jefferson is third in the NFL.

At 1 p.m., the Vikings will take on the Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago.
