After beating the Arizona State Sun Devils, 27-24, on Saturday, October 7, the Colorado Buffaloes are back on a winning streak after living up to their expectations as heavy favorites.

Alejandro Mata, a different recruit, gave Buffs coach Deion Sanders a huge boost.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the sophomore kicked the game-winning field goal with about 12 seconds left to play.

Coach Prime revealed what he said to the player from Honduras prior to that errant but game-winning kick after the Sun Devils attempted to freeze Mata after the game.

Sanders remarked after the game, “Mata don’t miss.”.
You can freeze him and call timeout all you want, but Mata won’t care about either of those things.
That is who he is, and that is what he always says to me when I approach him and hug him: “I don’t miss.”. And I adore it.
So I said, “Do your thing.”. Do what you want to do.
Shine up.
Baby, this is your time.
Living it.
‘”.

“[Alejandro] Mata doesn’t miss.
Because of this, I brought him here, telling him to “Get your shine on, It’s your moment.”.

According to Fox Sports, Colorado’s eight-game Pac-12 losing streak came to an end with the Buffaloes’ most recent victory.

In addition to Mata, Shedeur Sanders also contributed to the Buffaloes’ return to success.
Two touchdowns were scored by the Heisman Trophy hopeful, and he also helped set up Mata for the game-winning field goal.

The son of Coach Prime had a difficult day at work, however, as he was only able to complete 26 of 42 passes for 239 yards and suffered five sacks.

The Buffaloes’ following game is against Stanford Cardinal on October 13 at Folsom Field, and according to OddsShark.com, Colorado is the favorite to win.
