Celebrities flock to Boulder ahead of the Colorado-USC game

In his first year as Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders has turned Boulder into a celebrity destination. This phenomenon reached its peak on Saturday, when the stars were absent from Colorado’s home game against No. 8 USC at noon ET.

A host of big names from different industries appeared in the match, from Paul Pierce to Terrell Owens to CC Sabathia. Sanders also invited rapper DaBaby, who spoke to the football team Friday night before the Buffaloes played their most anticipated home game in years. The result was a star-studded game in the most important game of college football’s first tournament.

The irony is that the last time a team attracted this many celebrities was at USC, when Pete Carroll was coaching the Trojans in the mid-2000s.

Unfortunately for Colorado, this Buffaloes team didn’t look ready to compete with the best team in the country as USC took a 34-14 lead into halftime. But the slew of celebrities who came to watch the game in Colorado shows how Sanders has transformed the program in less than a year at the helm.
