Allen (hand) said after Sunday’s 34-28 win over the Cardinals that his left hand is “fine,” but that he’s scheduled to undergo further tests, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports. Allen landed hard on his non-throwing hand during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s narrow win over Arizona. Though the star quarterback downplayed his level of concern, the injury should be closely monitored with Buffalo scheduled for only a few days rest prior to taking on the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. The Bills will release an official injury report Monday, and the team could also announce the results of Allen’s medical tests soon. Mitchell Trubisky is healthy and ready to step up as the top backup to Allen, should the starting quarterback need to take some reps off during practice.
